CHOOSE YOUR NEXT CHECK

Build a market that welcomes spirits.

A welcoming entrance and a comfortable building interface solve different problems. Choose the symptom below before removing objects: road direction will not repair input drift, and decorative freedom in water will not establish a working arrival route.

Find the check that changes your next action

  • The gate will not work or customers are transparent: compare road adjacency, the direction arrow, rear space and the Demo mask issue.
  • You cannot use middle mouse or fear deleting a stall: use the documented R/Q/E controls and identify the active toolbar mode.
  • Water placement or road-edge benches look strange: separate intended decoration from functional entrance requirements.
  • The pointer moves by itself: check the dated Demo input fix before redesigning the market.

Placement, management or appearance?

Placement uses an object preview and orientation. Management uses Select mode to open a gate, building or stall panel. Appearance uses decorations and scene controls. A click doing the wrong kind of action is a reason to check the selected tool before blaming the object.

New to the sequence? The first-market workflow ties those phases together. For daytime, grass and grid questions, use Decor & tools.

Old footage and current symptoms need a version

Read the Demo splash-screen label and compare the correct app's build list before treating an old issue as current. SteamDB record timestamps and uploaded builds are different. Use the version guide above alongside the specific entrance or input check.

Inspect a building without rebuilding it

The reviewed Demo tutorial says Select mode lets you click the gate, buildings and stalls to open their panels and upgrades. That is the next step when you want to compare values rather than place another copy. The upgrade guide shows the panel route and explains why visible decoration need not change with level.

A decorative Torii listed under Decorations/Structure is separate from a functional entrance. Use the entrance's arrow and road checks for arrivals; use the water-placement guide for decorative freedom. Do not infer that a decorative arch has replaced the required entrance just because both look like gates.

Change one thing, then inspect the result

For the entrance, the useful checks are adjacency, arrow and free surrounding/rear space; the sources do not supply an exact tile count. For editing, the useful check is the selected mode. The last bottom-toolbar button was identified as Delete while the market was closed, and the full-game Undo statement does not prove a Demo recovery shortcut.

If a line is confusing you, the controls guide separates a tutorial guiding line from an older persistent-line bug report. If building tools work but stalls show zero resources, switch to Production & stalls. More decoration is not a substitute for a matching producer.
