Production & stalls
Fresh or Protein still at zero? Start with production.
Choosing Fresh or Protein for a stall does not create the resource. First have the corresponding Production Building producing that resource, then match the stall to it. If Grain has stock while Fresh and Protein stay at zero, check the upstream producers before repeatedly changing the stalls.

Use the opening preview as a second checkpoint
In the reviewed October 3 Demo footage, choosing Open Market brings up a production-preview confirmation. Compare its resource icons and quantities with what your stalls need. If the expected supply is missing there too, cancel and inspect the producer before changing the selling selection again.
The first-market guide shows the actual preview chapter. It is a useful comparison point, not a proven resource-per-cycle formula. Record the preview and the selected stall if the two disagree.
Find the resource setting before changing it
While the market is closed, switch from the shop to Select mode, then click the stall you want to inspect. The reviewed September24 Demo tutorial names this mode for managing gates, buildings and stalls; the selected-stall panel at4:10 shows Resource, Selling and Upgrade sections.
Use Resource to compare Fresh, Protein or Grain with the producer. Selling and the next upgrade offer are separate values: paying for a selling upgrade is not the developer’s answer to missing production. The upgrade-panel guide explains that comparison. If you need the wider preparation sequence, follow the first-market workflow.
Trace the supply in a useful order
- Read which resource is actually missing. Separate Grain, Fresh and Protein instead of treating every zero as the same problem.
- Check for the corresponding Production Building. The developer’s October 23 answer says resources must be produced first; selecting a stall product is the downstream selling choice.
- Compare the production choice with the stall choice. The older Demo footage shows Fresh, Protein and Grain options on the Workshop resource panel. Use the resource names displayed in your installed build.
- Return to the stall’s product setting. Match it to a resource you are producing, then observe the stock when you open the market. The original player reached those settings after selecting the main gate.
The source does not specify a guaranteed production time, transfer radius, worker requirement or exact output amount. Do not infer one from this checklist or from a single store screenshot.
Match the name on both sides
| Stall selection | Upstream check | Common wrong assumption |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh | A producer configured for Fresh | Switching the stall from Grain automatically makes Fresh. |
| Protein | A producer configured for Protein | Grain stock can supply any product label. |
| Grain | A producer configured for Grain | One stocked resource proves every resource has production. |

Tokyo Reload’s September 23 Demo video shows Fresh / Protein / Grain on the Workshop panel at about 4:26. The nearby transcript describes matching stalls to production. This supports the names and relationship; it is not our own gameplay test or a complete verified route from an empty map to a successful market.
If the matched resource still stays at zero
Check the production building’s own state and the exact resource name in your build. Note whether its output is zero too, or whether only the stall remains empty. Those are different symptoms.
- No matching producer: the documented prerequisite is still missing.
- Producer and stall names differ: correct the mismatch before judging the stock result.
- Both match but stock stays zero: save a screenshot of both panels, record the splash-screen build number and report it in the Market Products discussion. The cited answer does not identify every later failure condition.
- Customers fail to arrive or appear only as shadows: also check the entrance and visibility route. A gate adjustment does not replace resource production.
Keep your save and avoid rebuilding the whole market around an unverified exact recipe or rate.
What to confirm
The producer and selling stall show the same resource type, and you can distinguish missing production from a stall-only stock issue. A resource count increasing is useful confirmation in your own game; this guide does not promise an exact waiting time.
